Whether you are a sportsman or a walker, this code describes how your practice fits into its daily environment. The users must be campers and walkers particularly respectful of the aquatic natural environment and of the life which it shelters. In addition to that they must have the concern of cohabiting harmoniously with the other users of the water: fishermen, residents, farmers, other water sports. Think that your attitude always has an influence on the welcome which will be given to the next users.
Respect of the residents and of the local populations:
- Drive slowly at the time of the shuttles.
- Your vehicle must be parked apart from the fields, meadows or underwoods.
- Use the paths and ways, do not cross through the cultures.
- Respect the hedges and fences, close again doors and barriers after your crossing.
- Obtain the necessary authorizations before installing you.
- Be careful of forest.fires
- Clean the bank before leaving.
- Be respectful of the peace of the other persons.
- Bring back your trash.
- Plan to have a “WC” spot.
- Think that water has many users.
Respect of the other users and in particular of the fishermen :
- Be attentive, observe a long time in advance if a fisherman is fishing, if he did not see you, inform him in a friendly way.
- Draw aside from the bank and from the fishing boats, pass by as quickly and noiselessly as possible.
- Respect the best hours for fishing, early in the morning and at the end of the afternoon.
- Avoid sailing the 1st category fishing opening and closing weekends (2nd weekend of March and 3rd weekend of September).
- Get informed about the kayaker-fishermen agreements and local regulation.
In any case, on land or water, do not forget that you must assist any person in difficulty!
The river constitutes an ecosystem, a real world with complex laws and where the life is expressed in the most active and most attractive way.
- Respect the land and aquatic vegetation of the banks. It protects from erosion and shelters an abundant life.
- Keep out of migratory halts.
- Locate the sites of nesting and the spawning grounds, do not scrape.
- Sail preferably in the middle of the river.
- Make sure you sail with a sufficient water level.
- Unload at the spots envisaged for this use.
- Change your dress the most discreetly possible.
